Three doors, one method.

There are three ways to work with me: advisory for small and medium enterprises through Stratborne, teaching and curriculum work in institutional settings, and evidence-led speaking. All three run on the same method: diagnose the root cause, build the fix, and leave people able to run it. Pick the door that fits, or write anyway if none quite does. I read everything sent here.

Advisory, through Stratborne

SME finance and systems advisory runs through Stratborne, the firm I founded in Kingston, Ontario in November 2024. It serves the small businesses that traditional firms underserve. The engagement is integrated: diagnose the problem in the numbers, build the system that removes it, and equip your people to run it, as one accountable relationship, with each capability also engageable on its own. This site is the front door; the engagement letter is Stratborne’s.

Teaching

I am faculty at St. Lawrence College in Kingston, Ontario, teaching 200+ students a year across the accounting, finance, strategy, and information-systems curriculum, and I have been teaching in some form since 1997. Beyond my own classroom, I take guest lectures, curriculum collaboration, and practitioner-educator workshops: sessions built from a career still in the field, not from slides about one. Publisher and institutional formats are respected here; I build inside your structures, not around them.

Speaking

I give evidence-led talks on SME finance, data-driven operations, AI in professional services, and the diaspora professional journey. Every talk shows the math: named systems, specific numbers, and what failed on the way to what worked, drawn from a 200-million-customer fintech portfolio, a nine-country operations turnaround, and a college classroom. One boundary, stated plainly and politely: I do not give motivational keynotes. If an event needs energy without evidence, I am the wrong speaker, and I would rather say so now.
